Li

Molly Li is a painter whose work moves between observation and memory: interiors, gardens and coastlines reduced to colour, light and the weight of a single brushstroke. She works in oil and gouache, often in long series that return to the same motif across seasons.

About

Molly Li lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her paintings begin outdoors, as quick studies in gouache, and are brought back to the studio where they are rebuilt slowly in oil.

Her work has been shown in group exhibitions across California and is held in private collections in the United States, France and China.
